Bill is another driver that proves motorcycle riders turned auto races are a quick study. He is very fast for the amount of time it has been since he started driving at the track. Even so he is always looking for a little more and with the Hallett race approaching there is no time like the present to do some testing. We were able to find some time and in his first race he was able to be within a second of the fastest drivers and finish on the podium in a class of more than 10 cars. The final race of the North America series at NJMP was a total success. Steve drive to 4th and 3rd gaining his first podium of the year and wrapping up the Rookie of the Year honors. It was a great season and through it all he came through without replacing a body panel! The MG1 Motorsports team was great to work with and we all had a great time. Looking forward to see what turns up next year, J

Scott had just finished a PCA weekend at Road America and wanted the data and video analyzed in preparation for his running of the SCCA National Championships. After going over everything Scott came over and we reviewed all of his outings finding valuable information and forming a strong strategy for the SCCANC. When he returned he was the fastest car in the GT2 practice sessions and missed the last due to a mechanical. Come race time the mechanical resurfaced and Scott was not able to take the green…watch out for the #65 in GT2 next year! Great drive Scott, J

Harris Hill Road had a fantastic HPDE today and they asked me to host some classroom sessions during the event. All the events drivers looked to have a blast and I really appreciate H2R for having me out to be a part of their program. Cheers to all, J

What else can you say that covers it better than 640hp connected to a dog ring no clutch transmission? I guess we can talk about how well Bob is driving these days. While at another track I overheard someone talking about Bob and how fast he and his yellow corvette are. It put a big smile on my face to hear this and I agree, Bob has come a long way as a driver. We have worked hard on many different techniques and Bob is really shaping up behind the wheel of this rocket. Always great fun, J

Well, Guy and I have been to the track a few times this year and as you can see from the left front tire he is really starting to use the car to it potential. His lap times have improved by around 5 seconds and best of all he is getting more and more consistent at this pace. I expect good things from Guy next season and have enjoyed every time to the track with him. As always…my pleasure, J

Steve decided to head out to Colorado for the PCA races and wanted some coaching and track side support. We loaded up my truck and trailer and I headed down the road with his nephew Nick from England and Steve and Mark flew out to meet us. We had a great weekend and the track had a fun mix of corners. Steve drove very well and was able to come up to speed quickly. His races were hard fought and it was a lot of fun seeing Steve work hard for his podium positions. Well done, J

Bill decided to get some seat time before his race at MSR-H. We were able to sort out some setup to improve the car and tweak some driving techniques to get the most from the car. Being at the track with Bill is always exciting, they do call the man “Wild Bill”! Along with our efforts for the day we were able to find a bit of consistency to help out is overall race performance. Go get’em Bill, J

The races at Mont Tremblant were a mix of wet and dry weather. To say this round was challenging is an understatement and Steve did a great job finishing 5th and 4th. What an awesome track for a car that is fast with great handling like the F430 Challenge car. This part of Canada is picture perfect in every direction and some day I will have to come back with a snow board. A great weekend, J

It is always a pleasure when Guy and Corey come out for some track time. They are both focused on bettering their driving and I am happy to be their coach. It is great to see Guy getting a handle on his GT3 Cup car and Corey’s G-car is really getting fast. I look forward to their next race as I think they are going to be very happy with their results. Steve and I participated at the Ferrari North America organized test at Mont Tremblant. Working with the MG1 crew we were able to find a bit of time in every part of our program. This was a great outing and we are looking forward to the race. J

Peter had never been to the track before and wanted to start off on the right foot. We started with the very basics and by the end of the day he was driving with some real skills. It was a ton of fun to be out for his first track day and see his enthusiasm. I have a feeling this will not be Peter’s last outing, he is hooked for sure! Great job out there Peter, J

Looking for a driver tune up Greg decided to do 2 days of coaching at ECR. He showed up with an impressive Caymen tuned up by John Gladwill. After doing some right seating and going through the data we were able to find time on the track. We focused on some new stratagies to be able to extract the time and Greg’s did his job as a driver to bring it out. This was an enjoyable 2 days with Greg, once again I am reminded that the finest people I have met have come from the track. J

Another Ferrari Challenge weekend where Steve pushed his envelope every session to continue gaining pace all weekend. This track proved to be very challenging providing a 7th place finish Saturday and 5th place finish Sunday. The 5th place on Sunday does not tell the tale that 3rd, 4th and Steve crossed the line nose to tail. This was a race where if we had just a few more laps I believe we could have been on the podium, way to step up Steve. J

Dr. K will be heading to Bondurant after this session to get his racing license. He has come long way and is starting to carry a good pace. It is always great to be at the track with Kordy as his desire to race is so strong. It will be great to see his 1st race some day. J

What else should you do for your birthday, but take your freinds and your toys to he track. It is always a special day when someone has supercars and actually takes them to the track and uses them. Once again the Ferrari 599, Bugatti Veyron and Carrera GT got a workout. Brett decided to challenge himself in the GT and put up a very impressive number. Now if he could just find the time to do a little racing things would get really interesting! Cheers, J

BMW has a knack for making some of the best sedans on the market that are right at home on the race track. Ciaran had platoed a bit and wanted some new areas to focus on to elevate his driving. We found a few areas that could use some touching up and also focused on new skills. By the end of the the improvements were really taking hold, well done out there. J

You know you are in for some fun 3 track prepared Lotus’ show up at Hallett Motor Racing Circuit. With the track shared between just a few drivers there was little traffic and everyones pace was impressive. The Lotus platform is a blast on this track and Barry, Brian and Christian were a pleasure. Great times for sure, J

The Goose II was flying along for day 1, but unfortunately on day 2 decided it had migrated far enough. A motor glitch took us out and we had a ton of fun up to that point. Thanks Matt and the goose crew for having me out for some fun. J

An X50, S2000 and Boxster made for a very fun day today. All three drivers were able to improve in areas on the track allowing them to all post personal best lap times. It was busy jumping from car to car and I am very pleased with the results. J
